My ..vague theory for tw,

Deucalion mentioned obtaining the powers of werewolves he killed. If Peter killed Laura, to become alpha, then is it possible he obtained more than just her power? Was this the woman Lydia saw in her nightmare, crying in the bleachers (circa season 2)? When Lydia helped reanimate Peter, what if Laura stayed inside Lydia’s head. Which is why Peter isn’t at the strength he had been in S1, and why Lydia is losing time and showing up in places she shouldn’t be. I’m guessing, given Harris and Peter’s connection in S1 lends itself to the probability Peter is involved in the current killings. I think Laura knows whats what but can’t act on it herself.

My far more unreasonable and more likely to be 100% wrong is that the sacrifices are Peter trying to revive the Hale clan. I think maybe Cora DID die in the fire, but was brought back somehow…and then had her memory messed with. How else did no one realize she was alive? How did she not know Derek and Laura were? They were all underage at the time, someone had to have realized. If Cora was alive then were there actually 8 bodies? If so, who was the eighth body? Crazier theory, Peter is Matt’s master. One of the teaser trailers quite obviously hinted Matt would be back in some way or another, and Peter was there when Matt “died”. Could these killings that often seem partially hallucinogenic be due to a kanima?

Chocolate Bars

whatsdifferentincanada:

Canadians typically say “chocolate bars,” while Americans say “candy bars.” Pictured above: a chocolate bar you can’t get in the United States.

The use of ‘candy bar’ is REGIONAL in the USA.  I’m American and while I’ve never seen the brand, I’ve never met anyone who’d call that a candy bar. Maybe it’s the…close proximity to Canada (pacific northwest region of USA, as in not just my family but multiple people across different states unrelated to myself.) …But we call them chocolate bars. Sometime just ‘chocolates’. But never candy bars. Big country. Lot of people.

Whenever we get to arguing about school bullshit, my mum likes to bring up the time when I totally fucked up and stopped doing any schoolwork and got kicked out of my classes. Which was over 10 years ago. And she knows for a fact I was extremely suicidal at the time. But nice to know whenever I have a problem with anxiety over classes currently, that she feels free to remind of the time I honestly wanted to die. Feels great.

Or, you know, when I say something like ‘I hate myself’ and she asks why, and I answer ‘why shouldn’t I?’…and she doesn’t say anything.

my childhood friend just had her baby, and its eyes are like completely black and I swear to god that things a demon.

but congrats to her n all that.

how can people be this stupid?

so Australian’s aren’t humans
ok

we must be aliens because we can survive living in Australia

Skins, my dear, you have my permission to brick this moron.

Well, I suppose we are otherworldly creatures considering we’re so badass we can break a gun with our thighs. We’re badass enough that we don’t need guns. Because guns don’t solve problems - they make them, and Australians can solve their problems without the aid of weapons.
Because we kick ass. 8)
I bet if I took a gun out of this moron’s hand, he wouldn’t know what to do with himself. Betcha feel powerful now, fucker.

I saw this interview and the sheer force of the stupidity radiating from the guy was amazing. He seriously thought that mandatory background checks on people who wants guns was an infringement of rights and I just ?????????????? Is this a normal line of thought in the US?

(I usually lurk, so i’m sorry if I step on any toes). Something like 86% of Americans are in favor of mandatory background checks. And the numbers have been similar over multiple polls done throughout the country. anywhere between 80 to over 90%. Obviously this includes gun owners. Unfortunately, like in most countries, the stupid as fuck fringe groups end up the loudest. …And then they get lobbyists to pay off senators or congressmen…who then vote and continue to make the entirety of Americans look stupid as fuck. ..So yeah. The majority of Americans are in favor of mandatory background checks, and the majority of Americans …hate congress (they have around a 15% approval rating.)There are reasons people vote in the kinds of people that make us as an entire country seem really fucking stupid to the rest of the world, but I can’t really think of any way to describe it other than an abusive relationship metaphor. so I’ll just stop while i’m ahead.

Pledge To Save Skyline Drive-In!

One of the last Drive In movie theaters in my state could face being closed permanently if they don’t get the funding they need.

As their Kickster website says,

Small theaters all over the country are left to fight over the few 35mm prints that are currently being made. The drive-in theater, seen by many as little more than a fossil of movie-going history, is last in line for new movies. The only way to change that is to convert to digital projectors.

After purchasing the equipment, having it installed, and having a technician calibrate it, the cost of the upgrade is estimated to be $80,000.00 per drive-in screen. It isn’t cheap but it is a necessity: after 2013, no new 35mm film prints will be made.”

Their current goal is 40,000 to make the conversion, and they currently have around 16k donated.
The scary part is they only have 20 days to come up with the remaining amount. Now, they have until 2014 for the conversion from 35mm to digital, but to get the current donation they HAVE to reach 40k by the deadline in 20 days.

SO. I’m asking the mighty force of tumblr to help them reach their goal. Not only would you be saving a historical site in my home state, you’d be supporting the customers.
I don’t know about you, but i’m a poor as fuck student and I usually can not afford to go to movie theaters. No matter how much I might want to see a movie, it tends to be outside my price range of bland noodles and chicken scraps.
Skyline, however, fits a bit better into my budget.  I’m sure there are plenty of families that derive a good amount of entertainment and joy from going to the drive in.

If you can’t donate anything, could you pretty please spread this? I’d hate to lose the drive in, and I know I’ve seen tumblr accomplish some pretty amazing things. I know individuals out there have probably been donating and giving to those in need in Boston or earthquake victims in China (rightfully so, of course)
…But if you still do have the ability to do so, please donate!

I see this all the time in fanart and I don’t get it. More power to people stylizing, but sometimes it gets a little ridiculous.

the beginning of post-tumblrism

be thankful you weren’t around for the pimple cheeks of Deviantart back in its heyday

Yeah I always wondered how this happened??

I don’t understand the significance of this post
red nose drawing (and cheeks, and hands) has been around way way way way longer than tumblr
see fig 1 bro: Caravaggio

physiology also dictates that areas with thinner skin (nose, cheeks, lips) take on a redder hue because the blood vessels are closer to the surface anyway so yes those areas are naturally blushed (in varying degrees)
in conclusion, no

^ YES, THANK YOU AMANDA
If you draw all your skin the same hues and tones you are doing it wrong.

I’m sorry, but if you look at a REAL PERSON, their noses aren’t bright red, unless they have a cold, are drunk, or they’ve been doing crack. I cannot STAND all the red noses! And if you look at the figure above, the nose is NOT RED! A peachy-pink, yes, but not RED. Red=never interact with real people

My guess is it has something to do with ..some sort of strange evolutionary quirk. Same reason artists draw eyes much larger than normal, to make someone look cuter.
I think the red nose specifically does actually mimic either a blush, or a cold. One is a sign of sexual arousal or attraction, and the other is a weakness. All variations could be seen as cute or attractive. Tinkerbell’s anger flush was seen as cute, because her entire face went bright red. And the amount of ‘nurse someone back to health’ fics may indicate humans feel a weird attraction to someone who is helpless or defenseless that goes along with colds or illnesses.
Just my guess anyway, for some of the origin.

"Among the Native Americans, the Sioux are one of the biggest tribe which existed before the arrival of the settlers. They used to live in symbiosis with nature. They used to hunt and to leave in big villages in traditionnal tipis. These tribes defined a very specific social organisation with roles for every member of the community. They also used to work on leather and on wall."

^ Reasons why I hate researching tribes.

Not being American and having to watch the Americans vote for Romney is like the moment in horror movies when the audience is screaming at the character to not go down to the basement but they still do anyway and then they die a brutal, torturous death…

this is the fucking best descripition about the election omg

being in America and watching Americans vote for Romney is like being the smart friend in horror movies that nobody listens to
